There will be more than ice climbing to be found in Canmore on the weekend of February 11 & 12 this year. The Canmore Winter Carnival is also happening! This is a great opportunity to not only take a course on ice climbing or demo some tools, but also to ski on main street, carve ice, play road hockey, saw logs (and I mean the wooden kind of logs), watch some biathlon world cup events, and a whole lot more. Well worth checking out!
I think I'm going to set aside a prize for the best ice carving created using only ice climbing tools.
